Rig count drops in Canada, rises in US
The North American rig count fell by seven last week with Canada’s count declining by double digits, the latest Baker Hughes data shows.
In Canada, six oil rigs and five gas rigs were deducted from the weekly count, while one miscellaneous rig was added, bringing the country’s total to 167. The count is 65 higher than at this time last year, Kallanish observes in the data.
