Rebar pricing holds in the US throughout May
Rebar pricing in the US continues to hold into May, despite this being the second month in a row of falling domestic scrap prices.
According to a Northeast distributor, the US rebar market is becoming divorced from scrap movements.
"Rebar has mostly separated from scrap's pricing, with mills being able to keep pricing stable due to heavy demand for domestic steel," the distributor says.
