Raw steel production increases in US
US raw steel production for the week ended 4 November was 1.69 million short tons, with a capability utilisation rate of 73.9%, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. The volume represents a 6.6% increase from the same period of 2022, when production was 1.594m st and utilisation was 71.5%.
Raw steel production decreased by 0.5% from the prior week, when output was 1.707m st and utilisation was 74.3%.
