Rate of growth in US HRC pricing slows
The pace of growth in the price of hot rolled coil in the US market slowed during the last week of March.
After falling to a recent low of $1,000-1,080/short ton, ex-works mill, during the first week of March, HRC prices have risen notably each week since then. Prices this week are up $50/st from last week to sit at $1,400-1,450/st. Base pricing for CRC and galvanized sheet products are reported at $1,750-1,850/st.
