Primetals lands caster contract for Baosteel's Zhanjiang plant
Recently, Baosteel's Zhanjiang Iron & Steel and Primetals Technologies officially signed a contract for the supply of a conticaster to Zhanjiang Steel's expansion project. The plant's No. 3 blast furnace is also about to enter the construction phase, Kallanish notes.
The continuous caster provided by Primetals for Zhanjiang Steel can cast slabs with a width of 1,650mm, the official news from Zhanjiang says.
