Wide northwest Europe plate price range prevails
The relatively wide range for plate prices in northwestern Europe seen in recent months will likely last into next year, observers believe.
While the lower end of prices for commodity grade S355 has kept dropping to €950/tonne ($998) ex-works, even from integrated mills, some suppliers are still heard charging up to €1,050/t, and more. This spread is confirmed by industry players in Germany as well as the Benelux.
