Posco’s second-quarter production and sales drop

South Korean steelmaker Posco has unveiled lower steel production and sales volumes during its second-quarter earnings call last week, dragging down its operating profits along with surging raw material costs. In Q2, Posco produced 8.54 million tonnes of crude steel, a decrease of 2.6% from Q1 and 9.5% from the same period last year, Kallanish notes.
