Posco retrofits No.4 blast furnace at Gwangyang plant

South Korean steelmaker Posco has this week started the No.4 blast furnace retrofit at its Gwangyang plant, according to local media reports. The blast furnace upgrade is expected to complete in early-June, and around 1.5 million tonnes of iron output will be lost during the period, Kallanish notes.
