Posco Pohang restarts semis production
South Korean steelmaker Posco has seen its Pohang plant resume production of semi-finished steel after the blast furnaces were re-ignited, Kallanish learns from the steelmaker.
The blast furnace shutdown due to the typhoon lasted four days. On 10 September, the No.3 blast furnace at Posco Pohang started normal operation. The remaining blast furnaces No.2 and No.4 have also resumed production from 12 September.
