Port Talbot ironmaking could close early amid strike
Tata Steel could close both blast furnaces in the coming days if the strike called by Unite Union goes ahead, the steelmaker says.
The producer has commenced legal action to challenge the validity of Unite’s ballot, with the strike due to begin on 8 July.
