Port Houston steel shipments show big on-year increases
Steel shipments going through Port Houston in the first two months of the year are up significantly from last year’s levels, Kallanish learns from the port.
Steel imports entering the Texas port were 469,396 short tons during the month of February, bringing the year-to-date total to 910,279 st. February’s tonnages grew 6% from January, and the ytd total is 172% higher on-year.
