Poland's Weglokoks seeks new ceo
Weglokoks has commenced the qualification procedure to find a new chief executive, as well as a new deputy ceo finance, deputy ceo commercial and deputy ceo capital group.
Each board member at Poland’s largest coal exporter serves a term of up to three years, which means it is now time for current ceo Jerzy Podsiadlo to step down. Applications for the positions will be accepted until 18 April, while interviews will take place on 21 April, state-owned Weglokoks tells Kallanish.
Weglokoks began as a coal company, but has since branched out into the steel industry and thermal energy. It recently signed a letter of intent with partners Centrala Zaopatrzenia Hutnictwa (CZH) and Zaklad Konstrukcji Spawanych (ZKS) Ferrum to re-launch production at heavy plate re-roller Walcownia Blach Grubych Batory (WBG).
The Polish government is in talks to form a holding company under the name Śląskie Huty Stali that will include WBG, as well as Weglokoks-owned sections and welded pipe producer Huta Labedy and stockist and fabricator Huta Pokoj.
