Poland's JSW favours coke over coal sales
Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa (JSW) saw external coking coal sales drop 6% on-year in the second quarter to 1.5 million tonnes, the firm says in its preliminary operating report. Coke sales however increased 6% to 880,000t, Kallanish notes.
Coking coal output fell 1% in Q2 to 2.7mt and coke output dropped 4% to 850,000t.
JSW’s average coking coal sales price rose 1% on-quarter in PLN terms and 6% in dollar terms, the firm says without providing values. Thermal…
