Poland's JSW declares force majeure after another fire
Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa (JSW) has declared force majeure due to a fire at its KWK Budryk mine. The incident will reduce production at the site by an estimated 400,000 tonnes in 2024, the Polish coking coal miner says.
This represents another setback for JSW after its KWK Pniowek mine also suffered a fire in December. The estimated 2024 production loss from that incident has now been revised up by 100,000t to 450,000t, Kallanish notes.
