Plate prices approach peak in US market
Buoyed by continuing strong demand, plate prices are on the rise on the US market - but a peak may soon be near.
Nucor announced yesterday that it will be increasing plate prices in a letter to customers seen by Kallanish, putting its base price for A36 discrete plate at $1,815/short ton. The increase is on top of a $40/st increase implemented in October.
