Pakistan scrap, steel imports fall dramatically in April

Deteriorating steel demand in Pakistan coupled with the prevailing devaluation of the Pakistani rupee against the dollar slashed the nation’s scrap and steel imports in April. Pakistan’s scrap imports fell 20.21% on-year to 265,292 tonnes in April, against 332,467t a year earlier, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data.
