Pakistan scrap imports fall on sluggish steel demand
Owing to the winter slowdown in the construction segment, coupled with producers limiting billet production in expectation of an upward price correction, Pakistani scrap imports plunged 13% on-year to 411,229 tonnes in December. Intake also fell 11% versus November, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data.
