Ovako invests in new degassing facility
Ovako says it will invest over €17 million ($18.2m) in a new vacuum tank degassing facility at its Hofors site.
The new unit will enhance the quality of production at Hofors, strengthening the mill’s performance. The new technology will also replace steam jet pumps with mechanical pumps, thereby reducing energy consumption and improving carbon footprint.
The new technology should be operational by early 2025, Kallanish understands.
