Nucor raises sheet prices again
Just weeks after it announced a $50/short ton price increase, US steelmaker Nucor has announced another increase in pricing for sheet products.
Nucor’s sheet group is raising prices immediately by $100/st for all new orders, according to a letter to customers.
Market sources tell Kallanish the increases are likely to stick, as the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the associated ripples in the markets are pushing prices higher globally. Hot rolled coil prices…
