Nucor to shutter Longview plate mill in Texas
Charlotte, North Carolina-based steel producer Nucor has announced it will be ending operations at its Longview plate mill in Texas in the third quarter, Kallanish learns.
The plan is part of Nucor Plate Group’s reorganisation of the plate business as the company focuses on its Brandenburg, KY facility. The Texas facility has an annual capacity of 100,000 short tons.
