Nucor warns of lower Q3 profit, blames pricing
Nucor says its profit will be weaker in the third quarter on both a sequential and year-on-year basis, mostly because of lower coil prices.
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based steelmaker now expects diluted share earnings of $4.10-4.20 for the current quarter, Kallanish learns. Last quarter, the company reported net earnings of $5.81/share. In Q3 of 2022, Nucor’s earnings were $6.50/share.
