Nucor maintains plate prices
US steelmaker Nucor will keep base pricing flat for its plate products.
In a letter to customers dated 24 January, the company notes its base price for A36 discrete plate will remain unchanged from its 3 January announcement -- which also kept prices unchanged -- at $1,815/short ton. The price is applicable to plate products currently in stock in widths of 84-, 96-, and 120-inches.
The letter also states that the company is now accepting orders for March.
