Nucor begins Crawfordsville expansion
Nucor anticipates breaking ground on its $290 million sheet facility expansion on 21 April in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The plan was first detailed in February 2022, Kallanish understands.
The plan includes the addition of a galvanizing line with a capacity of 300,000 short tons/year and a pre-paint line for flats with an annual capacity of 250,000 st/y.
The mill is where Nucor pioneered its electric arc furnace thin slab casting.
