NSSMC secures certification for China tinplate plant
Japan’s Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) says it has secured an ISO 22000 food safety certification for its Guangzhou Pacific Tinplate Co. (Patin) joint venture in China. The company hopes the certification will boost the 200,000 tonnes/year tinplate producer’s position in the local food packaging market, Kallanish notes.
