November steel imports into US decrease: AISI
The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) report of preliminary census data for November shows a 8.1% decrease in US steel imports from October, Kallanish understands from monitoring the updates.
The US imported 2.02 million net tons in November. Of that total, 1.49m consisted of finished steel goods. These numbers reflect an 8.1% decrease in total imports and a 19.7% increase, respectively, compared with October 2023 imports.
