Northern European wire rod stabilises after big falls
Northern European wire rod prices have remained flat this week due to lower demand and reduced scrap prices in Europe. However, some sources expect new possible moderate falls.
“Activity in the market continues to be slow, after prices dropped last week by almost $120/tonne, mainly for mesh quality,” a merchant tells Kallanish. “Steelmakers are waiting to see if the price will remain at these levels, or will decrease in the future more.”
