Northern European wire rod prices continue to fall
Northern European wire rod prices have decreased once more this week, after last week’s big drop, due to low demand and further scrap price reductions in Europe. Most sources expect further rod price falls next month.
“Prices are down by €50-80/tonne ($52-83/t) due to uncertainty in the market,” a supplier tells Kallanish. “Activity remains quiet and demand is very low.”
