North American rig count falls by 5
The latest weekly report from Baker Hughes shows the North American rig count fell back slightly last week, but it still remains above the 700-mark.
For the week ended 22 October, the US lost one rig, bringing its weekly count to 542 rigs. Oil rigs dropped by two, while one gas rig was added.
Wyoming lost three rigs and Texas and Utah both lost one. New Mexico added two rigs, while California and Louisiana each added one.
