North American rig count continues rising
The weekly North American rig count continued its upward climb last week, according to the latest Baker Hughes data analysed by Kallanish.
In the US, seven oil rigs were added while the number of operating gas rigs were steady at 102, bringing the overall US count to 563. This is 253 rigs ahead of the same week in 2020.
Texas added seven net rigs, New Mexico added two, and West Virginia added one, while Ohio lost two rigs.
