North American rig count climbs higher
The North American rig count continued its upward climb last week with the US adding enough rigs to keep the count rising even as Canada lost rigs.
The latest report from Baker Hughes shows the US adding seven net rigs during the week ended 10 December. Four oil rigs and three gas rigs were added to the count, bringing the total tally to 576. The weekly count is 238 ahead of the 338 rigs operating during the same week in 2020.
