NMDC output, sales decline on lower steel demand
NMDC’s iron ore output plunged 12% on-month to 2.69 million tonnes in September against 3.06mt produced in August, mainly on the back of low finished steel demand. The company’s sales declined 6% on-month to 2.73mt. However, on-year, production and sales grew 47% and 29%, respectively, Kallanish notes.
