NMDC’s iron ore output marginally rises, sales plunge
NMDC’s iron ore output grew 1% on-year to 3.34 million tonnes in November, against 3.32mt a year ago. The company’s sales, however, plunged 13% to 2.88mt, Kallanish notes.
NMDC’s Chhattisgarh-based mine’s production declined 3% on-year to 2.56mt, against 2.65mt produced last year. Sales also plummeted 10% to 2.38mt in November. Karnataka-based mine production rose 16% to 0.78mt and sales dropped 24% to 0.5mt.
