NMDC Steel commissions second coke oven battery
Following the commissioning of its first coke oven battery (COB) and coke dry cooling plant (CDCP), NMDC Steel commissioned its second COB and CDCP on 24 April, NMDC informed in a press release.
The first COB and CDCP, which were commissioned on 27 October, have already produced 225,000 tonnes of coke. The second COB and CDCP will further enhance the coke oven capacity by 1.76 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes.
