NMDC sees production, revenue rise in current fiscal
NMDC’s iron ore production surged 30% on-year to 28.33 million tonnes in April-December 2021, mainly on the back of increased steel production by Indian mills. The nation’s crude steel production grew 20% to 88mt during the period, Kallanish notes.
Owing to high demand for iron ore, the state-run miner witnessed a 28% growth in deliveries, totalling 28.28mt in April-December.
