NMDC iron ore production grows, deliveries drop
NMDC’s iron ore output grew 2% on-year to 3.95 million tonnes in December, against 3.86mt a year ago. The company’s sales, however, dropped 4% on-year to 3.4mt, Kallanish notes.
NMDC’s Chhattisgarh-based mine’s production declined 6% on-year to 2.92mt, against 3.09mt produced last year. Sales also declined 8% to 2.58mt in December. Karnataka-based mine production and sales rose 34% and 12% respectively on-year to 1.03mt and 0.82mt.
