NMDC hikes prices despite February production, sales falls
State-run iron ore miner NMDC has hiked its iron ore lumps and fines quotes by INR 100/tonne ($1.20) and INR 200/t respectively for March deliveries, Kallanish notes.
Effective 21 March, NMDC has pegged its 65.5% Fe, 6-40mm lump ore, and 64% Fe up to 10mm fines prices at INR 4,500/t and INR 4,110/t, respectively. The above prices exclude royalties, district mineral fund, national mineral exploration trust, cess, forest permit fee, and other taxes.
