Nickel prices rise from July to August
Nickel prices have risen sharply over the past month, Kallanish gleans from London Metal Exchange data.
As of 2 August, the exchange puts cash nickel at $19,725/tonne. A month prior, nickel was at $18,141/t.
The exchange’s curve, however, appears to show a decline in the works in the second half. The three-months price is currently $19,713/t, while the year-end (22 December) price is $19,687/t.
