MMK expects $230m loss from new steel taxes
Russian steelmaker MMK estimates the effect on its Ebitda in 2022 from the introduction of an excise tax on steel and a new calculation of the mineral extraction tax (MET) at about $230 million, says company financial director Maria Nikulina.
MMK believes the effect of the new formula for calculating MET is comparable to the effect of export duties in 2021, the enterprise confirms to Kallanish.
