Mills push for UAE sales, rebar prices slide
United Arab Emirates mills and Oman's Jindal Shadeed are pushing for rebar sales and lowering their price offers for the UAE market.
Quotes are now at AED 2,230-2,250/tonne ($607-613) on a credit basis, versus last Friday's AED 2,270-2,280/t, delivered to buyers' yard. One mill is heard offering rebar at AED 2,210/t delivered against letter of credit at sight, Kallanish observes.
