Mexico’s merchant bar production remains weak in January
Mexican merchant bar output fell on-month in January. It was also down on-year, Kallanish learns from the latest report issued by local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi).
According to data, the country produced 18,743 tonnes of merchant bar during the month. This volume was 9.5% weaker over December and down 12.6% or 2,705t on-year.
The value of this output reached MXN 478.4 million ($25.86m).
