Market inventories build up in Tangshan
Tangshan saw an uptrend in market inventories of billets for the second consecutive week amid weak demand and abundant local supply.
Spot Tangshan billet was assessed on Monday afternoon at CNY 3,520/tonne ($485.8/t), down CNY 90/t on-week. The October rebar contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) meanwhile dropped CNY 98/t on-week to CNY 3,665/t.
