March PMI registers lowest reading in 18 months
The March manufacturing purchasing managers’ index (PMI) declined to its lowest point since September 2020, Kallanish learns from the Institute for Supply Management’s (ISM) latest Report on Business.
March’s PMI reading came in at 57.1% which was a decline of 1.5 percentage points from February’s reading. The March PMI is indicative of expansion in the overall US economy for a 22nd consecutive month.
