Chinas manufacturing still slowing, reducing steel demand
China’s manufacturing sector continues to struggle in May according to the latest HSBC China manufacturing purchasing managers’ index (PMI). The index saw production levels decline for the first time this year, suggesting steel demand faces significant hurdles before any recovery is possible, Kallanish notes.
