Manila billet importers retreat after buying
The billet import market in Manila was flat week-on-week, Kallanish notes. After a recent spurt of restocking activity, re-rollers retreated over the last week and no deals were heard to have taken place.
Offer prices for 130mm 5sp billet are still prevailing at $550-560/tonne cfr Manila, a Manila trader says. He did not hear of any deals struck during the past week.
