Long steel imports into US dip in June
Longs steel imports to the US fell in June after reaching a six-month high in the prior month, Kallanish learns from the US Department of Commerce.
According to Commerce's data, long steel imports to the US reached 453,572 tonnes during June with significant imports coming from Canada (101,698t), Mexico (82,953t), and South Korea (46,674t). Monthly import levels to the US fell from a six-month high totalling 608,352t during May.
