LME posts best-ever trading volumes for scrap/rebar contracts

The London Metal Exchange (LME) tells Kallanish that trades on both its steel scrap and rebar contracts in October represent the highest monthly volume since launch. LME Steel Scrap traded the equivalent of 372,140 tonnes last month. On 13 and 16 October, 71,290t and 62,970t of scrap were traded respectively. LME Steel Rebar traded 87,490t.
