Liberty Ostrava idles blast furnace for upgrade
Liberty Ostrava has idled its blast furnace no.2 to carry out a CZK 233 million (EUR 9.5m) repair and upgrade programme, designed to increase stability and reliability of the furnace and reduce inventory.
BF no.3 and the rolling mills will remain in production as the business continues to serve its customers, Ostrava says.
