Liberty Galati tenders for EAF supply
Romania-based Liberty Galati has launched the tender process for the supply of hybrid electric furnace technology, Kallanish notes.
This comes after Liberty signed a deal last week to procure from Danieli two hybrid EAFs for its Ostrava plant in Czech Republic (see Kallanish passim).
The group is targeting 10 million tonnes/year of “GREENSTEEL” capacity in Europe over the next five years.
The new EAFs at Galati will replace the existing blast furnace…
