LatAm steel shipments to US drop in April
Latin American steel exports to the US decreased month-on-month in April. They also remained weaker year-on-year, mainly as a result of lower supply from Brazil, Kallanish notes. Latin America in this context includes South and Central American countries together with Mexico.
According to preliminary data issued by the US Census Bureau, exports to the US from Latin America were almost 36.5% less on-month at 519,939 tonnes in April. This volume was down 13.7% …
