Kyoei Steel buys more VIS shares

Japan’s Kyoei Steel is again increasing its stake in Vietnam-Italy Steel (VIS), of which it recently took control. The plant is now the focus of its expansion in the country after it cut back other projects, Kallanish notes. Kyoei has registered its plan to purchase up to 2 million shares in VIS over 6 July-5 August. It is expected to have a share of around 67.7% in VIS by the end of the process.
